Homepage gathered that a retired police officer Chased his wife and children out of his house and committed suicide by setting himself ablaze along his ‘house.
According to the reports from a reliable source, it was revealed that the deceased killed himself for unknown reasons.
This is happening at the same time when a number of nonprofit organizations related to mental health called upon the government to declare mental health care a national priority in order to reduce the increasing number of kenyans who are currently dying through suicide and murder in the country.
According to the reports given by most of these organizations, they claimed that one of the main reasons why most Kenyans tend to take rational measures while doing things is due to the fact that most of them don’t even realize that they are suffering from poor mental health.
For this reasons, these organizations have revealed that declaring mental health care a national priority is the only way in, which the government was going to reduce the already increasing cases of murder and suicide related cases in the country as most people will know how to deal with it.
While reacting to this incident, kenyans who took to their different social media accounts to express their opinions and suggestions on the matter have called upon the National Police Service to put in a form of classes for retiring police officers in order to help them adjust to the world.
