
Just in; The Nigerian Senate has rejected the bill seeking to provide for the right of Nigerians in the Diaspora to vote during elections.
According to News reports, it was learnt that the Senate rejected the bill during the constitution amendment plenary session.
The Bill seeks to Alter the Provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 to Provide for Diaspora Voting; and for Related Matters.
29 Senators voted in support, while 62 rejected.
