In a recent update published on BBC, nearly 100 planes with ties to Russia have been effectively grounded by the US government, including an aircraft owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich.

Outrage as many Individuals who are directly or indirectly involved in the Russian Invasion have been sanctioned by some countries of the world, especially European countries and the United States of America.

According to the report, The US Commerce Department made it clear that services should not be provided to aircraft that were sanctioned by the American Government anywhere in the world including Russia.

Service like provision of spare parts, maintenance, refuelling, and repair shouldn’t be provided to the listed aircraft, going against the sanction will attract a heavy fine or potential jail time.

This is not the first time Roman Abramovich is being sanctioned, the Chelsea boss has also been sanctioned by the British Government for having strong ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, which he has denied.

Most countries of the world are trying everything possible to quickly end the war between Russia and Ukraine as this is part of the strategy for achieving that.
