Three officers of the Nigeria police force killed in a community clash in Taraba state.

No fewer than three police officers have been Killed in a communal crisis between Ndaka and Bissaula areas in the Kurmi local government area of Taraba State.

This was confirmed on Monday by the Taraba State Police Command, Public Relations Officer, DSP Usman Abdullahi, noting that the officers were overpowered by yet-to-be-identified militia group and killed in Bissaula.

The youth Leader of Bissaula, Mr Jibrin Garba in a statement made available to journalists on Monday in Jalingo, alleged that the Ndaka militiamen who carried out the attack also killed an elderly woman and destroyed property worth millions of naira.

The youth leader also alleged that Ichen people in Bissaula town had come under a series of unprovoked but premeditated attacks by Ndaka militias despite peace efforts by the government and stakeholders.

According to Garba, a Commission of Inquiry set up by Governor Darius Ishaku will unravel the cause of the crisis and proffer a lasting solution.
