EU demand justice for the lynched student in Sokoto state by angry mob.

The European Union (EU) has expressed grief over the lynching of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto State.

The life of the Shehu Shagari College of Education student was violently cut short by angry mob last Thursday.

However, EU urged the Nigerian authorities to ensure that the perpetrators were prosecuted. While reacting on Wednesday to the ugly incident, the 27-member union demanded that justice is done.

The EU equally charged the youths to go beyond obtaining their voter’s card and actively participate in the 2023 general elections.

The Head of the EU delegation to Nigeria and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Ambassador Samuela Isopi made the call.
