The former senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Sani has taken to his verified Twitter page to react as gunmen release 15 abducted Enugu residents.
It was reported today that gunmen have released 15 abducted victims who were kidnapped in Mgbuji Eha-Amufu, a community in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State.
It was gathered from the report that the families of the abducted victims paid 2 million ransom before the victims were set free.
Recall on July 18 that the gunmen suspected to be herdsmen kidnapped the victims while they were on their way to their farms.
While reacting to this report, the outspoken activist, Shehu Sani said there was no country and no government in a situation where the families of the abducted victims had to empty all the money they had, auction their properties, and still borrow money to secure the release of their loved ones from the hands of the gunmen.
There is no Government and there is no country; Where families have to empty their bank accounts, auction their properties, borrow and beg to augment for ransom paid to terrorists, in order to secure the release of their abducted loved ones.
