The Bauchi and Plateau state’s chairmen of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), reacted recently over the incessant attacks on herdsmen by suspected terrorists.
The Miyetti Allah Chairmen of both states said, “the bandits kidnapped the herdsmen, took them into the bush and slaughtered them.
There were nineteen other Herdsmen who got missing following the Bandits’ attack.
The attack took place when, according to Mallam Mohammad Nura Abdullahi; the state Chairman of MACBAN, the bandits waylaid the herders in the Mangu local government area of Plateau State who were tending to their cows. He added, “some herders escaped into the bush and left their cattle behind.
After the attack, members of MACBAN in Bauchi and Plateau states met in Bauchi and the gruesome killing was condemned.
As for the chairman of MACBAN in Bauchi state; Mr Sadik Ibrahim, he lamented about the incessant attacks on members of the Fulani community by terrorists from Bauchi State.
The two chairmen noted that the recent killings took place in Mungi, Chanson, Langai and Unguwam Madaki, Chanso villages located in Plateau State.
At the end of the meeting, the chairmen agreed that they would strengthen their collaboration with relevant security agencies to forestall a reoccurrence of the ugly incident.
