The governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has told the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore association that he is ready to meet them at the International Criminal Court.
It would be recalled that the secretary general of the association had earlier disclosed that they’ve already approached the International Criminal Court to file a suit against the governor for the alleged detainment of over 4000 herders and seizure of over 25,000 cows belonging to their members.
Reacting to the latest development, Samuel Ortom noted the implementation of the law banning open grazing in the state is irrevocable while adding that he is ready to meet them in court.
According to him, he has done what is right and legitimate to protect his people from further killings.
